The Vocational Institute of Michigan’s Career Center offers a counseling and career education service to students to assist them with their study and career choice, career planning, and career development while studying at VIM. Through the voluntary VIM Career Development Program we aim to encourage and enable students to make and implement well-informed decisions about their future careers, their ongoing career development, and to be as career literate as possible on graduating.
We offer to VIM students and graduates:
- Individual sessions on an appointment basis
- Career assessments and career guidance for registered students
The Career Center does not guarantee job placement to any student/graduate at any time. However, students/graduates may submit copies of current resumes and other credentials to be kept on file in VIM’s Job Center. In the event that the school receives information about available job or internship openings we will contact students which credentials match the open position. Ultimately, the responsibility for obtaining employment or internships solely rests with the student/graduate.
